Happy birthday Jesus!!

I had to share this moment that I had with Liam.  I take him to church when I get the chance, and try to teach him about Jesus when I can.  He loves "hot lights" so I thought this would be a neat way to help him understand!   I sing Happy birthday to Jesus, and he gets to blow out the candles.   It s turned into one of his favorite songs and things to do.   So much so, that I have to take the candles away, and remind him that they are not toys.  He often shouts, "happy do Jesus"! So adorable!  

Today we were dancing, another one of his favorite things to do.  Liam said out of the blue, mama dancing, bop dancing, d dancing, and Jesus dancing!   It was so sweet it teared up.....    Sappy I know but such a great experience!!

How did I get so lucky!!

Potty Training Adventures

So let me start out saying I am soooo proud of my little potting super hero!!    I put him in front of the tube to watch the potty time Elmo song.  He loved it, and fell in love with Elmo too!  I started sitting him on the pot around 18 months.  He was a bit timid about it so I backed off.  I started again around 19 months.  I also made sure to buy him some big boy undies with the one and only Elmo on them.  I also picked up some stickers and some M & M's.   In Liam speak Nims.    I got him used the his big boys, so he could feel the go.   I got him a miniature potty that says yeah, and a potty seat that fits on the potty.  He seems to like the potty seat better.  He made it in the pot a few times in his 18th and 19th month.  Now he is putting two and two together.  I'll catch him in the act of #2, and that totally works.  Every time I stick him on the royal throne he has done a #1 and a #2 for the past couple of days.  I am over the moon for my superpottier.   I am going to keep up with the adventures in potty training, and maybe we'll be diaper free before we know it.

Liam's new adventure!

Liam started his new day care on Monday of last week. I thought this was a neat way to welcome him to the class! I am excited to see how this works out for us.  We are already liking it!  It seems like a much better fit than the center he previously attended.  It has only been a week, but I am very happy to have found a great spot for him.

Liam and Bop are getting along and they love each other!!  Liam saw me get out the camera and let me get my action shot.  

 

Sherry aka Bop got her name when Liam would imitate me comanding her to STOP.  Then it became a joke between Li and me.  "Stop BOP, " we would say.  Liam thought this was really funny so she's been Bop ever since.  Plus he can say Bop.  Every once in a while he calls her Boppy or Bopo.  It's too cute!

Mom juiced my veggies and fruit together to make them tasty!  She figured she give me a straw to make it FUN!!  It worked!! I loved my dinner.

We snuck off to Atlanta to see Gigi!  We had a blast!  Can't wait for the next get away!  

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day weekend!  I picked Liam up early from school and he gave me my first Mother's Day present.  His teacher said he loved getting into the paint and making his beautiful artwork.  We had a pretty relaxing Saturday, so we were ready for activities on Sunday.  I volunteered at church, and he played in the nursery.  We headed home after that. When I got there he was asleep, so I decided to take a road trip.  We headed to the Kroger, and once I got there I thought "hey why not go see GiGi in Atlanta!"  GiGi was working the Scott show, and had no clue we were on our way.  She was very happy to see us on Mother's Day.   

Back at GiGi's condo Liam was waking everywhere for the first time independently.  He had decided to go for it all on his own.  What a great present for Mommy!  We ate dinner with Mom, Jimmy, Nanci, and MJ.  Liam put the bowl of Mash tators on his head, and we all just died laughing at him.  He was being my little ham, or as Nanci's says my little spud.  What a cutie.  We headed home that night, and Little Li went right to sleep. 

The next day at school he decided to show them what he could do.  He walked down the hall to go outside.  The teacher said she turned around to grab his hand to help him, and he was walking.  No more Pack n Play at school he has graduated to the cot!  My baby is not a baby anymore, but a full fledged toddler.  They are right it does happen soooo fast!  I am so proud of my little tador tot!!!

Congrats Liam on Your Easter Day 2013

I could not have asked for a better day Easter 2013.   Liam was baptised at St Peter's Episcopal Church by Carter Paden.  He was admired by all his family in his beautiful Easter suit.   What a day to be baptised.   My little angel did a perfect job.  He became a member of the church, and most importantly he was recognized by God our Father.   I was such a proud mama, and so blessed to have support by his uncle George Patten and cousin Patten Mahler.   I was so happy to have everyone with me Easter 2013 to celebrate my love and joy Liam Wesley Patten.
