"Look Who's Talking Now!"

Liam and I had our first conversation the other day.    He was playing by himself in his infant-to-toddler chair.  He was exercising his vocal cords with coos, oohs and ahhs.  (He is a very talkative little boy.  I believe he will be opinionated and outspoken.)   I would coo and he would coo back.  It was really fun.  I felt like I knew what he was trying to tell me.

Something else I enjoy doing is speaking French and Spanish to my bebe.  He loves French phrases.  He smiles at me when I say "Ca va? and On y va!"   He will not be bilingual by two, but I think it is fun to teach him what I already know.

I like to sing to him, and he acts like he likes it.  He relaxes and sighs when he hears my singing voice.  I like to think of it as a mini performance, and hopefully it sounds okay to his little ears.

I can't wait to talk with him again, and see what else he comes up with.  It is so great to watch the wheels turn in his head, and see things click.  He is learning so much at such a rapid rate.  It's amazing!
